NIKE — DOUZE ROUNDS

A fight film with no fight in it. The thirty seconds sit entirely in the hours before — hands being wrapped, a walk through wet streets, an old trainer watching from the door. The bell is the last frame.

01THE GYM

NO ACTING

We cast the gym before the athlete. Everyone in the room actually trains there, which is exactly why nobody is putting on a performance.

The strain, the sweat, and the gritty focus are entirely real. We simply placed the camera in the middle of their actual pre-fight routines and let the tension build naturally.

Real fighters in their actual training spaces. No acting, just pure physical strain.
02THE ELEMENTS

THREE NIGHTS OF RAIN

We relied strictly on available light plus just two practicals. We wanted the shadows to feel heavy, letting the raw environment completely dictate the visual tone of the film.

Instead of faking the wet streets with water trucks for the walkout, we insisted on absolute authenticity. The rain you see is completely real, and we waited three full nights just to capture those perfect conditions.

The final frame. No actual fight shown, only the raw atmosphere and the ultimate payoff.

We cast the gym before the athlete. Everyone in the room actually trains there, which is why nobody performs.

A note on this piece

L’Ombre isn’t a real studio.

It’s a demonstration of custom design and engineering — the work is spec, and the brands shown belong to their owners.
